Been here for several yrs,those schemes you speak of dealt with "buyers" defrauding sellers out of money by fraudulent means not vice versa.I saw 1 ad for some steam engines for sale in Africa.Considering the thousands of $$ it would take to buy,import and restore them I doubt if the average US Joe who couldn't afford to investigate them in person or by proxy would be buying,whereas a museum or Euro/African collector might. Not faulting your feelings sir,just feel you are overreacting a bit,just on the Africa thing,as with millions of tractor buffs worldwide theres bound to be a few honest Africans among em :)
