They are a protected species here in my state, so you get in a bit of trouble if you are caught cutting them. Might want to check into that 1st.

The sickle bar mower will cut them.

I'm having difficulty figuring out what it is you are going to modify, if you cantilever the mower many feet to the right, you will have issues with it not cutting while turning as well as the mower pulling the tractor to the side, and the weight will want to tip the tractor, and.... Anyhow, I guess I'm curious how you will make it work? :)
