If you read these pages very often you will find more problems changing to 12v than any other item discussed. Start with your cables making sure they are 1ga and all the way thru the system and clean starter and maybe new brushes and some lube and it will probably be a good starting engine and a lot simpler than buying a ALT,BELT,Mount for the ALT, then lite bulbs,and new battery that probably wont mount in your battery box then wiring CORRECTLY.
