John Henry -- To remove the inner door panel, first remove the arm rest. Two phillips-head screws. Next find a wide flat tool and begin prying the panel off; it is held in place by about two dozen "Christmas-tree" fasteners (i.e., they just push in to hold the panel on). You"ll probably spoil a few of them in the process, since they tend to harden & get brittle over time, but you can find replacements in most auto parts stores in the section with the "Help" brand parts (or "Needa" brand, depending on your store"s affiliation). If you have power windows or power locks (or both), be careful once the panel is loose so you don"t pull the wires out farther than they should go. Once inside, check/lube the linkages and make sure all the springs are in place. One of my springs got fatigued & snapped so that the handle wouldn"t return; had to use a bit of ingenuity & take the temper out of half of the spring to re-bend a "tail" for it. OK, that"s probably too much information now. Let us know if you run into any trouble... Rex.
