Yes, the pump failed due to old age. The gears
that generate the pressure were rounded on the
ends. The shaft was very loose. The new pump
had gears with nice, square ends and meshed together nicely. The new shaft had a bit of play,
but not like the older one. The shaft is sectional and joined together in the middle to
give it a bit on freedom of movement. Tim, Ohio
