Year Model of 4610 Ford tractor

My Mother IN Law purchased a 4610 Ford tractor,realiazed later that the tractor does not have a serial number,The seraial number is supposed to be under the right hood,but it appears that the original hood has been replaced and the serial number destroyed.
WE need to know the year so that we can purchase an operators manual(New Holland dealers are of no help).How about all those different numbers stamped all over the tractor,bell housing,engine number,etc.?Do they tell any thing ?
Any help will be appreciated.
