i had the same prob on my Case 1845 i added up the parts n figured it was cheaper to just buy a new gear reduction assembly,and ya might wanna check our your chain cases,as they will fill with water, get new covers as ya can't just buy the gaskets. hope this helps,

btw i HAD a friend in the Case dealership who would sell me parts for a little over his cost,so i was fortunate,but he no longer works there,he retired.
