You bring up a good point about the extinguishers. I'd add also to make sure that equipment has adequate fire insurance. I had a tractor catch fire a few years ago, like you was able to put it out. Two years later it caught again in the same spot, only this time I didnt see it until it was too late. Barely got out of the cab (apparently the lower right cab mount bushing was loose enough to allow the cab to pich the wiring on top of the torque tube). I had it covered both times, sure glad I did.
