infrared thermometers

I bought one at a sale for $80. not knowing what I would use it for. its small hand held uses a laser beam and takes a tempeture from a couple inches to 15' or more away. I finished up rolling hay for the season yesterday and brough the round baler back to the shed with the last bale in it. I kicked on the PTO and took the thermometer and checked the temp of all the bearings. no crawing around, just point and shoot and you have the temp. all the bearings were between 90-95 degrees, except one it was at 125 degrees. now I can replace that bearing this winter instead of next hay season when I have hay on the ground. neat! it paid for its self
