Bolens

I have a Bolens with several different model# on it and I need to know what I have and what proper type of battery I have to put in it. The battery that is in it now heats up and boils over and I am afraid it will exploid. Can anyone out there help. The numbers on the tractor are: on the decals under the hood TX2140 and TX2160. On the Frame on the left front side is TX1410-006116.
Would appericate any help that I can get, also what year is it if you know.
