If he"s travelling this far, I"m sure that he wouldn"t mind travelling a few extra miles to your banker "to protect himself" by having your banker notorize a bill of sale, and while you"re conveniently there, have him convert his British Pounds or Traveller"s checks into US Currency, then hand it to you in cash to deposite into your bank, before you hand him the notorized bill of sale and keys to the tractor. If he doesn"t go for it, hand him a phone book, open it to "taxi cabs headed to the local airport", then point out the window to the payphone down the road. You"ll never see him again either way, so be careful, and don"t turn over an account number to anything.
