Because George I didnt make it the signature issue of his campaign. Kerry did, and has himself offered at least 4 conflicting versions of events during his tour of duty in Viet Nam. At least the Swift boat guys who have disputed Kerrys rendition have stuck to one story. When stories change by the minute by the person who first told the story, and Kerry has changed his story, several times, doesn't it make you wonder which version you are supposed to believe? As to the swift boat ads, its called "free speech" the same as Michael Moore, George Soros, Al Franken, Al Gore, Howard Dean, etal choose to exercise. Those who can dish it out must learn to take it when it comes back at them.
