None of my business,but if you build a coop and use a solid door be sure to knock before entering to let the girls know you are coming.In the 30's and 40's I grew up on a chicken ranch with 5000 white leghorn layers.They are possibly the most flighty of all breeds.We never could allow straingers in the chicken houses and could never enter without knocking,or more than half the flock would hit the ceiling and then go into a molt and loose lots of feathers.That would often drop egg production about 50% for the next four to six weeks. Been there an seen that.You likely will not find this in a text book.
