The farther away from home I go the more tools I take. I guess I could add that as the magnatude of the project increases the more tools I take. I usually take a two drawer box with a tote tray in the top with sockets, combination wrenches, screwdrivers, vise grips, pipe wrench or two, hammers, anything else I can fit into it. It is packed solid. If I have to use it I have to take out half of the tools usually. But I usually have what I need. In your case would a pipe wrench fit onto a lug nut? Often lug nuts are sort of inside a raised section of the wheel making it hard to get a pipe wrench on. I think a hammer and chisel would have been the way to go from what you say. Anyway, glad you made it back ok and I think as others have said this will be a great story after a little time has mellow it all out a bit.
