They are fine if you are painting something that is wood,like a deck or fence,but they are not good for smooth metal serfaces. It looked too splatered when I tryed to paint metal garage doors with one. Plus they make alot of noise and it gets on your nerves. You can buy a pretty cheap regular paint gun that runs off of a compresser that would work 10 times better.
