My brother is experiencing intense problems with his 1206. The hydraulic circuit must have a major leak. When the tractor is in gear and moving, then you turn the steering wheel at all, the clutch pressure drops and disengages. We"ve already re-sealed the MCV and steering unit behind the batteries, but no help. According to the manual, we need to pull the front bolster off of the tractor and re seal the steering motor, but I wanted anyone"s input if they"ve experinced this before with their tractor. If it"s a failing aux. pump or manual steering motor behind the steering wheel, I"d much rather do that than remove the nose of the tractor for the steering motor if that"s not the problem. We just don"t want to stab in the dark. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
