Cold cranking amps - more is better! :) Bigger wires, and solid tight connections at all ends are important. I'll bet you have issues with dirty connectors & small cables..... In series doubles the volts, takes on the amps of the _weakest_ battery. In parallel doubles the amps - well, adds together the amps. I'd look for one 12v that has more CCA's than you have now; if there isn't anything that fits, then go with 2. More connections, more fuss, more places for a bad connection, but what can you do. Guess I'd lean towards 2 12v in parallel, but not sure why.... --->Paul
