With the engine stopped, take off the governor housing cover and turn the governor screw until it just touchs its stop. Place the hand lever in full speed position and turn the high idle speed screw until it just touchs its stop. Finally, start the engine and place the hand lever in full speed position. Then turn the high idle speed as required. Turning the screw in reduces speed and turning it out increases speed. The stock setting is 1650 RPM under load, 1815 no load.
