In 1998 I got the largest NH "boomer" type tractor which is a 1630 Hydrostatic at about 24 PTO HP. Wonderful tractor, have about 1400 hours on it. If I was buying a NH now, I would get one of the larger Hydrostatic tractors available: TC35D at 29 PTO HP, TC40D at 33 PTO HP or TC45D at 40 PTO HP. These all have 3 range Hydrostatic, 4 WD. Get heavy duty front bucket. These would be a nice tractor, actually capable of doing lots of work. What you are shoping for will not do the job and you will really be stuck with a "toy" tractor. I would also check out the Kubota tractors in these sizes. With about 30 PTO HP you will be able to pull things like a real 5 foot disk and other ground engaging implements, plus the loader will handle much more weight. Good luck.
