My dad bought one in 1964 with a thrower. We took the thrower off many years ago because the labor force was petering out and it was easier to stand on a hay rack and put the bales in the elevator rather than pull them apart in the load. I still use this baler and it works perfectly and never misses a bale, and makes a good square bale, none of this sloppy oval shaped bales like some of the older makes made.
