The later model MacDon PT machines have been very good. They have that slick end transport system that converts from road to work position in seconds. The drive system is simple and reliable with no chains or gear boxes. I have run the John Deere badged model(590) for over 10 years and there are plenty of MacDon premier models and Case IH seven series(721-725-730) in use around here. I love the fact that only the decals and paint are different,so I can go to the IH or MacDon dealer to get parts for my "John Deere" swather. Has saved the day several times when the Green dealer was out of an item. IH uses a slightly different shape guard,but they work fine on a JD or Mac Don premier if you use the IH bolts. Have no experience with a Honey Bee swather,but have several Honey Bee draper combine headers in the area that do well.
