Check out "Frank-in-tallahassee's" web page for an explaination. He does a good job. I have used it to strip paint off my '35 B and it works very well.

Basically its just lye, which can be purchased in a hardware store (Red Devil), mixed in water with some corn starch added to make it pasty so it will stick. You have to play with the proportions to get your favorite consistancy.

Then slop it on with an old paint brush and let the caustic action go to work removing paint. Several coats at half hour intervals or more works great.

Careful as its very caustic and will burn exposed skin...just use some common horse sense when using. You can mix it in a cut open plastic milk jug, as it won't eat through the plastic.
