I just towed a parts baler home about 15 miles that had a bad bearing in the wheel. It did not have a tongue that swung so the baler hung about four foot out to the side. I made it home without hitting any mail boxes or bicyclist or cars. I had my son with me to remind to stay over. I pulled over to let the traffic go by me several times. I was often times riding the center line with my flashers on doing about 30 mph. It was not fun when the right wheel got over in the gravel hitting chuckholes along the road.
If I was you and did not have a flat bed trailer, I would go rent a car haluler trailer form Ryder or Hertz, get a piece of channel and lay across the trailer to hold the tires and load with tongue forwarrd on top of the existing tongue. THis will set your baler on ther at a little bit of an angle. However this will allow you to get home in a reasonable amount of time and most importantly, SAFELY!
