Wayne, I'm extremely sensitive to poison ivy / poison oak. I get it all the time. Forget all of the home remedies and over the counter stuff. Get to a doctor immediately. Get a cortisone shot and a dose pack of cortisone pills. You'll get good relief and have it over with in MUCH less time than any of the other treatments. My dermatologist once asked me, "Tom, why don't you hire me to do your farming instead of paying me for all of the treatments for poison ivy? You'd end up saving money and time." He was kidding of course. The shot and pills cost about $40 to $50 and it's the best investment of medical charges that I can think of. Good luck, Tom in TN
