I just finished repairing the steering on an early 5000,in the prosess I found out they have a common problem.The p/s cylinder under the radiator pivots on a pin and this pin is supported at its top by a weak casting that is prone to breakage.I called 10 different junk yards looking for the casting and no one had one.The part is no longer available thru Ford.I ended up fabricating a support out of steel and bolting it in.
