I just bought my first tractor. It was said to be a 1947 9N Ford. I researched it, after I purchased it, and from what I can find, it is a 1940 model. The serial # is 9N 14389. Can anyone tell me if I am right. It doesn't really matter, but I would like to know. It has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system. It runs very good and seems strong to me. It does need some sheet metal work, but other than that seems to be in pretty good shape.Being my first tractor (I'm 63 years old), I was just wondering if there are any things I should know about it. Thanks for any info.
