If anyone ever claims that the "whatever" brand oaf penetrating oil is any better than others, I think they're fooling themselves. Personally, I think that penetrating oils are pretty much the same and if they loosen something up by themselves then whatever was tight or stuck wasn't very tight or stuck. They help out but by themselves I'd say they have limited effect, although any type of liquid oil (if it is thin enough) is going to help somewhat. The two things I think that are the real solutions are physical force (gentle sometimes needed) and heat. Without those, oils are just a cosmetic thing that make us feel better. Just my two cents but that might be overpriced.
