Believe it or not, I check it myself by looking to the NW for high Cirrus Clouds. If I see them coming I know that within 48 hrs it'll be wet.
Other projection which accompanies that is wind velocity. Southern winds prevail here and if we get several days of 20-30 mph Southerly winds look up for the cirrus. Pretty reliable. Mark
