Thanks T-Bone--that's just what the doctor ordered. Is there a way to tell whether the rear axle is a Dana or Sterling? Our truck is SRW but I was told the diesels got the Dana regardless of wheel setup. The housing looks like a Dana but I haven't looked for any labels or numbers. On the mileage I thought I remember reading that the tranny and rear axle fluids should be changed at 60K or so. Am I mistaken? I know it won't hurt to change them out either way but we're trying to get ready for a road trip and have many irons in the fire....
