I replaced the battery and checked voltage at the soleniod where the positive cable from the battery connects. I have 13 volts at this point. When I attempt to start the tractor the voltage drops to 0. I disconnected the coil wire off of the soleniod and I could hear the soleniod click and the voltage stayed up like it should. I ohmed the coil wire to ground and it was a dead short. It is my conclusion that starter should be replaced. Can anyone confirm this conclusion or offer any help??
