gettin' in 5 th gear on a 52 Farmall M

Can anyone tell me why I can't get my 52 Farmall M into 5 th gear, all the other gears work fine it has rubber tires , where is the lock out screw or bolt located so it will go into 5 th gear , the few book I have looked at just have an arrow pointing some where , I can't find it , where is it ?????
