While not a direct answer to your question you might want to consider my answer. If you ae remodeling now is the time to add thickness to the studs and insulation. Add to the atic insulation too. Do a good job with no gaps and no stuffed in insulation, install a good vapor barrier and you will be $$$ ahead for the rest of the time you live in that house. It will be more comfortable, easier and cheaper to heat.
