Contractors will often tell you the best one is the best one for them... the one they get the biggest kickback on! The answer lies in which dealer (servicing dealer) has the best reputation in your area. Your local coop or electric/gas utility or propane dealer can make you aware of good options for your area and the utilities often have special deals on high-efficency furnaces and A/C units. Also ask about "dual-fuel" programs. I'm one one and get my electric for half price.
