Take it apart and check the mating surfaces carefully with a steel straightedge. Most likely one is warped/nicked and you'll see light under the steel. There is no gasket that can seal under those conditions. Once you have the offending parts machined flat, use the correct gasket per the service manual (it does make a difference) and use the proper sealer but only if the service manaul recommends sealer. Some gasket type DO NOT require it. If they specify a specific sealer, use it. If not, I use Permatex #2 non-hardending sealer. It's good up to 4,000 psi. and recommended for hydraulic systems.
