I stopped by their old location before they moved, and was looking at an LA Case he was harboring. They had it advertised in the photo ads here for $2000. I offered to trade him for a tractor that I had in equal shape, maybe better, and he said that he could get $3K easy for his. The only thing wrong with the LA was he couldn't get it to start. Tried jumping it but nothing would turn the starter over. As he was giving up, I grabbed the crank and turned it over by hand. Started OK, but he stood there amazed that you could actually start one that way... Go figure...
