I bought a Sherman Power Digger backhoe from the sale ads here on YT, I got it home in pieces and am ready to begin on it. I started by pressure washing years of grease off the mainframe to discover at least 3 welds that will need attention. I also discovered the model plate and as luck was with me is still readable. I have a Sherman Power Digger with actuated bucket model number 54 C100 serial number 10961. The base of the plate list is as being manufactured by: Sherman Products Inc. 54C103 Royal Oak Michagan. Since I have been that lucky I was hoping to find any information out there on this digger. It will be going on a Ford 2000 gas 4 cylinder that already has loader on it for front stability when digging. The information I have been able to collect so far puts alot of these Sherman units on the Fords. I believe it is pictured on a Fordson. Anyone have any info on the Sherman company or the units? Thanks to Kim and YT for listing the ad, Jordan for his patience closing the deal and his son Mike for helping me load it.
