Teresa, the other folks are right on about a model 431 being part of the "430 series", and the tractors are all decaled as "430". On the oil question, my 470 diesel, my dad's 531 gas, and I think maybe some newer 430s, do not have a breather cap on top where you can add oil, but instead have an oversize dipstick tube - and you add oil through that opening on some of the tractors. "I & T" refers to "Implement & Tractor" service manuals. There is an I & T manual for the 430-530 series Case tractors, and the current manuals may combine a few more Case models as well. You can buy new ones in farm & home type stores, or on the internet. Hope you enjoy your 431, they were great little tractors.
