Overheating

My Massey Furguesson 240 runs a little warmer than it used to. The water level is not low. Over time (about 2 hours) the temp continues to creep up. I guess if I kept running it it would overheat eventually but I have not used it lately for a long period of time. I plan to take it to the carwash where I can get some better water pressure and clean out the grill. Is the problem probably in not getting enough air or does the radiator probably need flushing.

Also, someone told me I may need to set the timing. Would that make it run hot and if so, how?

Sorry for such a simple question but thanks for any advice.
