I did my first real plowing this weekend. We had three fields and about 4 acres. One was a grass field, one had thick hay and one was bare dirt from a corn field last year. The grass was ok to plow, just a little rough. The hay field nearly killed me. I had to hold on to my Farmall M with both hands while discing or I'd get thrown off. Then we did the corn field and it went soo smooth, took no time at all. I have to say I respect the farmers out there. Not only is farming hard work, but you have to know a lot also. From mechanical, to agricultural, It will take me probably the rest of my life to catch up in knowledge to the farmers.
