yes there is that small pin in the shaft. It(the lever that the governor hooks on and connected to the rod hooks on) points down now. if I rotate it to the up position I am not sure what would happen.I am kinda and old machinst and die maker so I should be able to do this . But do not know yet what would change in the idle screw location. I Will take that rod off and check the spring.Will get back to you asap Don't leave me this old geezer needs your help Lance
