I have a 2002 2500 HD extended cab. It has the Allison 5 speed automatic and 3.73 gears Empty on the highway I get about 13 mpg when driving reasonably. I pull a small 5th wheel probably about 7000 lb and I can get 10 mpg at about 65 mph. It has remarkable power. It usually stays locked in OD even up fair grades pulling the camper. It is hard to drive the speed limit though.
