I did all of this excavation work by hand, with a pick-axe and shovel. However, it was getting too hard. So I hired a contractor. He showed up late this afternoon, and I had to go to work. He�s not sure that his skid-steer will work for this job. And I really need to get rid of the stump. I want to be able to drive behind the garage and the stump is in the way.

I was curious what could be done. Right now, there is not enough room to bring in a backhoe. However, after the excavating is done, it might be possible. I will let you know how it turned out.
