I have the same problem you have with wild hogs rooting up the hay meadows. We've tried keeping them out three ways: net wire, barbed wire, and electric. The net wire with one strand of 4-point barbed wire along the ground works best. Barbed wire by itself works well, but you have to stretch about 8 strands. Electric works well if you keep the grass and weeds controlled so that you don't ground the system out. In all three cases your weakest point is the gates. Make sure that the hogs can't go under or through. Hope this helps.
