Are these the 6 volt tube type? Partial solid state electronics in 12 volt radios came in about 1958 and by 1963, the changeover was complete. For the tube type, ask at flea market about collectors of old radios and phonographs from the 1940's. If the old tube type, the vibrator and the OZ4 tube are the most likely components to fail. A sharp technician could use solid state devices to replace the OZ4, which is a full wave rectifier.
