Contrary to what I hear alot, there is room to put a GM alternator under the hood of an M without modifying the hood at all. I put mine on the same bracket as the generator was on. I did have to fashion a new top bracket, but it wasn't anything all that dificult. I never did figure out how to make one fit under the hood of an H though.......
