I see your point as well, however let's suppose you were a regular visitor to a political or religous discussion forum site (I'm sure there are such places on the web) and somebody posted a question relating to say the timing sequence on his Farmall M. I'm sure one of the regulars would respond that such posts were very off topic and probably not welcome at such a site. I guess your response could be used there too but it wouldn't really make sense. I can tolerate somebody posting some political or religious comment here but I can never figure out why they would do it.
