To Phil IA Thanks for the input.I think you got it right.When I make a hard turn this device holds the steering wheel in the last position selected until a pull in a new position is selected after the strain is off the turn.Now it appears that mine is working as per design.Up till now I had thought that there was some sort of planetary gear setup that was hanging up.Tks. again.John Cooney
