Basically, trying to make a 5 ton machine do the work of a 10 ton machine. I think in the farm end it would be trying to pull out a stump with one corner of the bucket, and if that don't get it, run at her a few times!
In my excavating bus., it always bugs me when I send a D8 operator out to final grade with a JD 550 dozer and He's pushing so hard the dirt is running over the blade and the tracks are spinning. Like the other post said; I too know of people that could wrek an anvil with a feather!
