This time of year there is a high possibility of the rear end having enough water in it to be frozen and prevent the bull gears turning. Equally high possibility and goes for any temperature is that the brakes are stuck. They will rust and adhere to the brake shoe. This can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to get them loose. You can often loosen them by hitting the brake drum all around with a good heavy hammer (not a sledge). I know two previous posts mentioned these, but these are the two areas to look at first as they are the two most common causes of this problem.
