Clutch problems International B250

My International B250 had stood for about 3 months and when started up today (first time start!) and put into gear the clutch failed to operate, it crashed into gear and took off with the clutch pedal depressed. Have tried adjusting the pedal with no sucess, is it likely that the clutch plates have stuck together or am I looking at a new clutch? Does anyone have any ideas to help please?
